G+G was engaged by the Aditya Birla Group of India to create a soup-to-nuts brand and retail experience for the Indian market. The PEOPLE stores will be positioned as modern markets for the whole family, inspired by traditional bazaar merchandising, but executed as a modern, gallery-like space energized by light, color, and interactive experiences. Aditya Birla expects to roll out 100 stores across India by the end of 2009.
