The Food Network is looking to prove that wine goes just as well with macaroni and cheese as it does with chateaubriand.

The cooking channel and the California winery Wente Vineyards want their wine label Entwine to take the mystery out of wine.

The key is showing consumers how to pair wines with different foods, from a delicate fish to potato chips.

Food recommendations will be listed on the back of each bottle.

Chefs willing to go a step further can access entwine-wines.com for meal ideas and food pairings that draw from the Food Network Kitchens archive.

For example, the Food Network version of a grilled cheese sandwich is paired with Entwine's Merlot.

Users can search by meal type, main ingredient or wine varietal.

The 2009 vintage is available in four varietals including Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and will be available on shelves starting in February in select U.S. supermarkets.

Bottles retail for $12.99.
